Blue Oak Leather Co. 100-Year Warranty Policy
Our Promise to You
At Blue Oak Leather Co., we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of every product we make. We believe our leather goods are built to last a lifetime, and we back that belief with a 100-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty is a testament to our commitment to durability and our confidence in the materials and methods we use.
What Our Warranty Covers
This 100-Year Warranty is a promise to repair or, at our discretion, replace any product that fails due to a manufacturing defect. This includes:
- Stitching: Any issues where stitching becomes undone, frayed, or ripped under normal, non-accidental use.
- Leather: Any instance of the leather itself ripping or tearing due to normal wear and tear, and not from an accidental or external cause.
- Metal Hardware: Any breakage of metal hardware, such as zippers, buckles, rivets, or clasps, due to a manufacturing defect or normal use.
What Our Warranty Does NOT Cover
This warranty is a promise against manufacturing defects, not a promise against damage caused by accident, neglect, or normal aging of the leather. The following are specifically excluded from this warranty:
- Accidental Damage: This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by cutting, tearing, staining, scratching, or any other damage to the leather or product in an accidental manner.
- Lack of Care & Environmental Damage: This includes, but is not limited to, cracks, texture changes, or other damage to the leather resulting from a lack of proper moisturizing, or from exposure to extreme elements like direct sun, snow, or water.
- Rub-Off and Staining: Our hand-dyed leather products have a unique and natural finish. This may result in some color rub-off or staining on other items that come into contact with the leather. This is a characteristic of hand-dyed leather and is not considered a manufacturing defect under this warranty.
- Aesthetic Changes and Normal Wear: This warranty does not cover the natural aesthetic changes that occur with age and use, such as a patina, softening of the leather, or minor scuffs and scratches. These are a natural part of owning a high-quality leather product.
